Email newsletters are engaging when curated as “themed-mini-magazines”
There are two differences between a newsletter and any other form of email. One, the newsletter is a regularly sent email – it can be weekly, fortnightly, monthly. Two, it’s usually designed like a mini-magazine, full of varied chunks of content of value to readers.
Newsletters are usually lengthy … since they arrive only periodically. They should ideally be built around a theme related to your niche. They are usually full of curated content. Your newsletter can showcase you as an expert who helps readers by pulling together high-value information from across the Internet, thus saving them the effort and time of finding such nuggets.
The newsletter sample below is my own, which I send weekly to my subscribers. As the name suggests, I have themed it around my mission to do “trendwatching” in the area of content writing, to help my readers.
